Artist's Statement

I subscribe to the notion that contemporary ideas can abide in the crafted object. The possibility that an art object might testify to different realities in future contexts intrigues  me.

I am  often entertained by the play of routines and the little surprises and bigger questions arising from our daily lives. Like many artists, sometimes I enjoy the questions more than the answers.

While I don’t think that making art is any kind of real immunization against the events of our times, it can provide an intimate, if finite world where we can be particular, peculiar, or silly to the point of seriousness.
